Käthe Hager von Strobele
Repeating Patterns
In her workshop, the artist takes up the relationship between repetition and dis placement that characterises maternal care work. Together with children, we collect leaves, grasses, flowers, twigs and barks, which are then used to create a collectively made pattern of repetition and deviation using the gelatinplate printing process on a textile panel.
Friday & Saturday, 21. & July 22, 3–6 pm
Workshop for children aged 3+ and their accompanying adults – please register.
Käthe Hager von Strobele works with different disciplines at the interface between theory and practice and explores an archaeology of the everyday with the media of photography and textiles. In the context of different exhibition formats and her artistic research, she investigates textiles and their patterning in institutional contexts and personal archives, using among other things, photography and AI programs.
